David is a longtime Tribune-Star sportswriter whose primary duties were switched to the news department in late 2015. A cancer survivor, he enjoys hanging out with his family and staying fit with regular trips to the gym.

Tony Harper is owner/operator of Indiana Sports Network, a division of Wabash Valley Sports LLC, which has been providing free webstreaming services of athletic events to fans for the past five years. "Indiana Sports Network is web-tv for 80-85 high school and college sports events throughout southwestern Indiana" he said. "We cover games from Anderson to Indianapolis and Seymour west to Terre Haute and Evansville."

Every college basketball season ends at some point, then the coaching staff ramps up preparation for the next season. Usually, a few players graduate, one or two may quit the team in the offseason and coaches bring in new players from high schools or other colleges to replace those who left. Then the next team begins to form its own personality.

Terre Haute's Prospect League playoff chances took a huge hit Sunday evening when the Chillicothe Paints rallied for three runs in the eighth inning and held on to edge the Rex 7-6 at Bob Warn Field.

Terre Haute’s Wayne Newton Post 346 will try to defend its Indiana American Legion baseball championship over the next few days when it competes in the 2019 eight-team state finals at Rockport’s Joe Allen Hargis Athletic Field.Athletic Field.
