The Terre Haute Rex summer baseball team improved its record to 3-2, two games behind the lead in the Prospect League's East Division, with a 2-1 victory over the Chillicothe Paints on Tuesday night at VA Memorial Stadium.

For the Rex, Justin Jenkins went 2 for 4 with a run scored and a double, Ethan Hunter also doubled and Brett McCleary knocked in both runs with a two-run single in the top of the eighth inning. Ross Kramer was the winning pitcher in two scoreless innings of relief.

The Rex and Paints (1-4) will face off again in Chillicothe at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday.
