Cody Orr and Jack Huisman combined on a three-hitter Sunday as the Chillocothe Paints shut out the Terre Haute Rex 5-0 in a Prospect League baseball game at V.A. Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Orr allowed just two hits in 62/3 innings, striking out five and walking one, while Huisman allowed one run in 21/3 innings, striking out three and walking two.

Gavin Homer and Cole Andrews hit homers for the Paints. It was Homer’s second homer in two nights.

Justin Jenkins, Jacob Mulcahy and Aaron Beck each had one hit for the Rex.

Kaleb Huxford took the loss for the Rex, allowing six hits and four runs, three earned, in 32/3 innings.

• Saturday’s game: Andrew Bacon had three hits and drove in three runs Saturday night as the Chillicothe Paints beat the visiting Terre Haute Rex 9-5 at V.A. Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Gavin Homer and Chris Eisel hit homers as Chillicothe pounded out 10 hits.

Rex starter Blayke Cutts fell to 0-3 as he allowed six hits and six runs, all earned, in 42/3 innings. He walked one and struck out five.

Ross Indiecoffer led the Rex at the plate, getting two hits while scoring three runs.

Paints starter Jack Raines got a no decision, allowing seven hits and two runs, both earned, in 41/3 innings. He walked three and struck out seven. Michael Hulbert got the victory to even his record at 1-1, allowing one hit and three runs, all earned, in two innings. Austin Calopietro earned his first save of the season, preserving a 6-5 lead in the seventh inning when the Rex scored three runs. Calopietro allowed three hits in 2 2/3 shutout innings, striking out four.
