Mardi Steiner hit a 3-point shot with 18 seconds left in a nonconference girls high school basketball game Monday night, and host Rockville missed a potential tying shot with five seconds left as visiting Clay City emerged with a 60-58 win.

Angie Camp led all scorers with 19 points for the Eels, who had a 14-point lead after one quarter but were eventually forced to come from behind. Steiner scored 12.

Kieran McMullen had 17 points and 12 rebounds for Rockville, which lost by two on a late shot for the second straight game. Chelsie Stout and Lindsey Greene scored 12 each, with Stout handing out four assists.
