Indiana State University announced Thursday the induction of seven members into the 2006 class of its Athletic Hall of Fame.

The seven members are the 14th induction class to be honored at ISU.

Members of the 2006 class are James Brumfield (football and track, 1966-70), Roy Burris (baseball, basketball, and track, 1922-25), Gerry Gluscic (football, 1976-79), Bobby Poss (football, 1969-73), Debbi Ramseyer (cross country and track, 1989-93), Doug Reifsteck (wrestling, 1980-84) and William Welch (graduate, 1950 and coach).

The ISU Athletic Hall of Fame began its inductions with five classes from 1982 to 1986. After 11 years without a class, the inductions began anew in 1998 and the Sycamores have added new representatives in each of the past nine years. The seven new inductees will bring the total to 85 members.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on the ISU campus and is open to the public. The ceremony will take place Feb. 28 in Tirey Hall, with a reception at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling (812) 237-4444.
