Rosemary Smith, 85, of Terre Haute died at 1:40 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2007, in Union Hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1922, to Harold Klein and Chole Simpson Klein. She was a photographer and co-owner of Smith Photography.
Survivors include daughters, Kay Carpenter Hall, Karen Curry and husband John, and Harriet Gatti and husband Bill; sister, Betty Iunghuhn; grandchildren, Heather Ruhe, Stormi Gatti, Neil Wood, Buss Wood, Curt Carpenter, Andy Curry and Kathy McCloy; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Smith, in 2000; and both parents.
She was a past member of The Wabash Camera Club and The Professional Photographers of Indiana.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. today at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the McMillan Adult Day Care, 486 First Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47807, or to the Southern Care Hospice, 4624 Springhill Junction, Terre Haute, IN 47802.
