Robert Paul Hancock, 55, of Terre Haute died Monday morning, Feb. 20, 2006, in Union Hospital. He worked in the coal mining industry.

He was born June 22, 1950, in Linton to Robert Morris Hancock and Ruth Carrico Hancock. Survivors include his parents of Terre Haute; three daughters, Heather Michelle Hancock and Ashley Elizabeth Hancock, both of Clinton and Erin Hancock of South Bend; his ex-wife, Becky Hancock of Clinton; one brother, Howard S. Hancock of Terre Haute; three sisters, Kyle Headley and her husband, Raymond of Florida, Dale Dillon of Bruceville and Julia Berry and her husband, Mike of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and one brother-in-law, Steve Dillon.

He was a Christian and was a graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in business administration. He loved spending time with his family and fishing and playing cards.

Memorial services are noon Saturday in Roselawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dana Coverstone officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation is 10 a.m. until noon Saturday.
