Michael Wayne Boyce, 26, of Terre Haute died Friday morning from injuries suffered in a vehicle accident on Davis Avenue. He was born in Terre Haute on Aug. 5, 1981 to Duwayne Boyce and Teresa Catterson Boyce. He was employed as a federal technician for the 181st Fighter Wing based at Hulman International Airport and a member of the Indiana Air National Guard.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Teresa and John Cannady; his father and stepmother, Duwayne and Jessie Boyce; grandparents, Danny and Darlene Boyce; and a great-grandfather, Danvers Boyce. There is a child who calls him Daddy, and her name is Lexi. He has two brothers, Danny Boyce II and Bryson Boyce; four sisters, Julie Boyce, Haley Cannady, Shayna Cannady and Kayla Cannady; a stepsister, Jessica Williams; aunts and uncles, including Diana Manning, James King, Jo Ellen and Ramon de le Cruz, Sheila and Marvin Strong, Paul and Jodi Catterson, Jay and Angela “Angie” Cottom and Chris and Tina Newman; and many cousins. His maternal grandparents, Paul and Josephine Catterson, preceded him in death. He loved, and loved being with his many close friends and family.

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel with the Rev. Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park with the 181st Honor Guard giving military rites. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. on Thursday. For those who choose, memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the charity of the donors choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
