BOWLING GREEN — Michael Dale Schopmeyer, 53, of Bowling Green, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was a truck driver for BBL Trucking and had previously worked for Great Dane Trailers.

He was born July 1, 1952, to Wayne and Mary Lou Hauser Schopmeyer. Survivors include his wife, Pam Schopmeyer; his father of Bowling Green; 10 children, Michelle Sheese and fiancé Todd Sevier of Terre Haute, Brandy May and husband Randy of Bloomington, Tiffany Schopmeyer and fiancé James White of Ellettsville, Sarah Rubeck and fiancé Jason Martin of Coal City, Amanda Headley and husband Ben of Spencer, Deana Rubeck, Michael Schopmeyer, Brianna Schopmeyer, Phillip Schopmeyer and Mikayla Schopmeyer, all of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Tristan and Caleb Sheese of Terre Haute, and India and Karis Jolly of Bloomington; one brother, Lynn Schopmeyer and wife Nancy of Clay City; and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and one sister, Linda Susan Schopmeyer.

He was a graduate of Patricksburg High School, and a member of House of Prayer in Ellettsville, Riders of H.O.P.E., and participated in Emmaus Walk No. 26.

Services are 11 a.m. Monday, in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poland Zion Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
