Martha “Marty” Jane Cruse, 68, of Terre Haute passed away on Tuesday Nov. 20, 2007 at Meadows Manor East in Terre Haute. She was born on June 15, 1939 in Crawfordsville, to William Joseph Kult and Georgia Zachary Kult.

She graduated from Buck Creek High School in the Class of 1957, and she was awarded the Indiana State Teachers College Scholarship Award her senior year. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science at Indiana State University. She was a member of the Northside United Methodist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include two sons, Gregory L. Cruse and his wife Shari, and Brent Lee Cruse and his wife Ellen. Also surviving are grandchildren, Tim Deremiah, Justin Hamilton, Rachel Hamilton, Holly Cruse, and Kaylin Cruse all of Terre Haute; siblings, Patricia Payne of Butt Creek, Ind., Erney Kult and his wife Nina of Tucson, Ariz., Mike Kult and his wife Kathy of Concrete, Wash., Robert Kult and his wife Rosaria of Baytown, Texas, Cynthia Lesley and her husband Tom of Fort Wayne, Molly Byers and her husband Gary of Covington, and Jackie Heath and her husband Bob of Yellville, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Lula Kult; a brother, William Joseph Kult, and a sister, Ruth Ann Fife.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in Roselawn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Curtis Mitchell officiating. Services will be at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
