Helen M. Eickmeier, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday morning, Oct. 12, 2011, in Royal Oaks Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided for the past 16 years. Helen was a lifetime member of St. Ann’s Parish and was a 1956 graduate of Schulte High School. She was born Oct. 18, 1938, in Terre Haute, to Frank R. Eickmeier and Marie P. (Van Sell) Eickmeier, whom both preceded her in death along with a brother, Richard F. Eickmeier.
Helen is survived by a sister, Margaret “Peg” Knezevich and her husband George of Terre Haute; several nieces and nephews, Delmar Eickmeier, Joni Brenton, Judy Hoffman, Frank R. Eickmeier, George P. Knezevich, Delight Allen, Diann Sekarek, Garri Knezevich, Denise Knezevich, Dollie Underwood, and Gene Knezevich; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, from 12:30 until 1 p.m. in Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with funeral liturgy at 1 p.m. with Sister Connie Kramer, S.P. officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to thank Royal Oaks Health Care and Rehabilitation Center for the care they have given Helen during her time there, and Sister Connie Kramer and the St. Ann’s Parish for their help in arranging services.
