SULLIVAN — Everett Henry Norris, 92, of Terre Haute, and formerly of Sullivan, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born in Worthington, on Jan. 7, 1917, to Claude Wilford Norris and Lillie May Bedwell Norris Carrico. He was a retired auto mechanic with Dudley’s Chevrolet in Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Beck Norris

Survivors include two daughters, Everetta K. Heistand of Farmersburg, and Donna Mae Carrico (David) of Evansville; one sister, Betty Jane Pigg of Sullivan; four grandchildren, Randall Heistand, Penny (Heistand) Adams, Gary Perkins, Carla (Perkins) Hancock; and 10 great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Edward Norris, and Paul Kyms Norris; and one sister, Edna Clara Hulett.

He was a World War II Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post 139, was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2459, and First Baptist Church in Sullivan.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Banks and Brust Funeral Home, 400 N. Court St., with Pastor Rob Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, with graveside military rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn, Hymera American Legion posts, and the VFW Post. Friends may call from 11 am. until services Wednesday.
