CASEY, Ill. – Dale L. Kelly, 79, of Casey died at 5:03 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, in Mission Regional Hospital in Mission, Texas. He was a supervisor at SKF Industries in Casey for 25 years.
He was born June 13, 1926, in Yale to Franklin Thomas Kelly and Goldie Emery Huddleston Kelly. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Keller Kelly, whom he married May 28, 1947, in Newton; two sons, Tom Kelly and his wife Bonnie, and Gene Kelly and his wife Deanna, all of Casey; a daughter, Arlene Cutright of Casey; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harold Kelly; four sisters, Lois Major, Florene Lewis, Helen Hillard and Inez Sumption.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a 32nd-degree Mason, a member of Order of Eastern Star, Masonic Blue Lodge of Casey and Newton, and the Danville Consistory.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. CST Monday in Markwell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel Harper officiating. Music will be provided by Diane Reeds and Curt Weaver. Burial is in Hazel Dell Cemetery, with graveside military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5762 and Hazel Dell American Legion Post 1230. Pallbearers are Chris Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Blaine Kelly, Steve Cutright, Ryan Mumford and Trey Wofford. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today, with a Masonic Memorial service at 6:45 p.m. by Casey Lodge 442.
