Clarence William Airhart, 79, of Brazil, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute. He was born Dec. 9, 1933, in Delphi, to James William Airhart and Nora Coward. Clarence worked as a roofer for Laughrey Brothers Roofing, and enjoyed stock car racing, fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his son, David William Airhart; grandson. Spc. Arronn D. Fields; brother, Jack Airhart; and sister, Ruth Airhart.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Connie Airhart; daughters, Jackie (Bill) Pilkin of Knightsville, and Darla (Jonathan Randall) Tedder of Brazil; brothers, Frank Airhart and Denver (Beverly) Airhart; sisters, Frances Ruther, Katherine Turley, Elizabth Perry; grandchildren, April (Keith) Cavanary, Christopher Fields, Robin (Aaron) Glidden, Tracy Jones and Scott Tedder; 12 great-grandchilden; and Tammy (Tom) Bond and family.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Moore Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Bechtel officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, in Terre Haute. The family will accept friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at:
