Bonnie S. Foster Yowell, 73, of Terre Haute, entered the gates of Heaven on Oct. 22, 2014, at Regional Hospital, with her family by her side.
Bonnie was born Sept. 29, 1941, in Jasonville, the daughter of the late Noble B. and Verna Foster, who preceded her in death. She graduated from State High School in 1960. Bonnie married Jack Yowell on May 27, 1995. She started working at Columbia Records following high school. She had been employed by MAB Paints and AP&S Clinic, where she retired.
Bonnie was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Terre Haute. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, shopping at Wal-Mart, cooking, traveling and NASCAR. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of many years, Jack Yowell; daughter, Angela R. Yowell and fiancé Eric Shuler; grandson, Ryan M. Yowell; stepdaughter, Barbara “Rae” Bendzsa and husband Paul; step-grandchildren, Seaaira Bendzsa and P.J. Bendzsa; brothers, Alvin “Buffy” Foster, and Ron Foster and wife Jacquita; sister, Kim D. Foster; and special cousins, Norma Westjohn, Reba Williams and Malcolm Conder; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at French Funeral Home, with Pastor Bryce Ulrich officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at the funeral home.
