SULLIVAN — Betty Lou Padgett, 69, of Sullivan died at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born Feb. 19, 1938 in Tomkinsville, Ky., to Leander Walker and Pernie Humes Walker. She was a waitress at Patrick’s Restaurant in Sullivan for 20 years and a member of the Shelburn First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Padgett whom she married Sept. 25, 1954. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Walker and two sisters, Pauline Deckard and Lorene Deckard.

Survivors include one son, Anthony Padgett; four sisters, Eagle Bailey of Lafayette, Omie Bailey of Brookston, Patty Perigo of Orlando, Fla., and Ruth Hudson of Sullivan, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Holmes Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ron Riggs officiating. Burial will be in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Those who wish may make donations to the American Cancer Society.
