Registration dates have been set for North Vermillion Junior High and High School students to pick up schedules and pay for books for the 2009-2010 school year. It is important for parents to come with students to register on the following dates:

Aug. 5: Seventh to 12th grades, 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.

Aug. 6: Seventh to 12th grades, 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.

Aug. 6: Seventh grade and new parent/student orientation, 6:30 p.m.

Forms must be completed which require a parent’s signature, and book fees are to be paid. Parents should have the following information available for completion of forms: (students will be unable to register without the following)

• Student’s social security number

• Emergency telephone number other than home

• Work phone numbers of both parents or guardians

• Family doctor’s name, address, anad phone number

• Proof of guardianship (legal documentation, such as divorce papers)

• Written directions to the student’s home

• Students new to the corporation need a copy of an official birth certificate

New students to the corporation need to call early in August to schedule an appointment with a counselor. Students must bring records from their previous school (transcript or report card) as well as all the information listed above, including a copy of their birth certificate and proof of guardianship.

The incoming seventh graders and their parents, as well as new students to the corporation, will have a special orientation meeting on Aug. 6, starting at 6:30 p.m. Parents are asked to register students during regular registration times, if possible.
