Matt Nealon has been named Union Health’s new Chief Financial Officer.

Nealon replaces outgoing CFO Wayne Hutson, who is set to retire after 42 years with Union Health. Nealon's appointment takes effect effective July 8.

Nealon comes to Terre Haute from Dallas, where he served as System Director of Labor Management with CHRISTUS Health, an international faith-based health care organization consisting of more than 60 hospitals. He previously served as CFO at University of Cincinnati Medical Center and divisional vice president of finance at Mercy Health in Cincinnati.

He brings 15 years of financial leadership with integrated health systems in the not-for-profit, for-profit and academic medical areas. His expertise in capital management, strategic financial planning, cost controls, as well as financial analysis and forecasting will allow Union Health to successfully continue its mission in providing quality healthcare in the Wabash Valley, Union said in a news release issued Wednesday.

Nealon holds a master's in business administration degree from Baldwin Wallace College and a bachelor's of science in business administration degree/accounting degree from Bowling Green State University.

He and his wife, Melody, have two children.
