Edgar County, Ill., families can now register their preschool children online to receive free books from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Local program administrators recently enabled their database system to process the online registrations. Simply go online to www.dollysimaginationlibrary.com to reach the Imagination Library Web site posted by the Dollywood Foundation of Pigeon Forge, Tenn. The site is easy to use and will guide the parent or caregiver through the registration process. Paper registration forms also are still accepted and are available at numerous locations in the community. Call (217) 465-4118, Ext. 246 for more information.

“We hope that families will take advantage of this quick and easy way to register their children in the Imagination Library,” says Camilla Whitkanack, co-chairman of the local program.

Children under the age of 5 who live in Edgar County are eligible to enroll to receive free, high-quality, hard-covered, age-appropriate books. The books are a gift from the community, so there is no cost for participating families.

The Altrusa Club of Paris, Ill., and The Human Resources Center sponsor the local program. It is supported by the United Way and by donations from businesses, associations and individuals. Donations should be made payable to The Human Resources Center and mailed to The Imagination Library, Human Resources Center, P.O. Box 1118, Paris.
