Children are invited to participate in the Christmas Chocolate Walk at the Old Fashioned Christmas Festival in Mansfield Village this weekend.

Admission is free to those 12 and under. Walkers will receive a chocolate Santa at the Welcome Center, a taste of fudge at Fox’s Overlook, hot chocolate at Hilltop Farm and other chocolate treats at participating locations.

The children’s event is new to this year’s Christmas celebration at Mansfield. The annual festival’s hours are 5 to 9 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Santa will arrive on a fire truck courtesy of the Bellmore Fire Department from 6-8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and from 1-3 p.m. Sunday. Pictures with Santa are available for $3 (or 2 for $5). Santa’s elf will be available during regular festival hours, painting faces.

Also new this year at Mansfield, Santa’s Secret Shop will be open all three days for kids to shop for reasonably priced gifts for parents, siblings and other members of their family. For details about any children’s activities, visitors should stop at the Mansfield Village Welcome Center in downtown or call (765) 344-1830.

Village shops are open this weekend and the Red Barn of Mansfield Parke is full of vendors. Food is available and restrooms on-site.
