All residents were evacuated safely from the building that was split into three apartments. A cat, which was rescued from one of the apartments received oxygen from a firefighter.

Tribune-Star/Austen Leake Onward and upward: Mark Thiemann, who owns and operates The Walnut Theatre in downtown Brazil, gets a popcorn order from a customer outside of the theater on Sunday, March 22. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the theater was forced to stop showing movies but the Thiemann family didn’t let that stop them from interacting with the community. They posted on Facebook to ask if anyone would be interested in coming by for a $4 bucket of movie theater popcorn, and over 100 people responded. The theater even extended the hours of operations by an hour due to the overwhelming response.
