For years, I made tomato soup cake. No one ever knew my mystery ingredient.

And then I found this recipe for Tomato Soup Brownies that calls for a small can of soup. They are so moist.

I always double my recipe because I don't like to throw out half a can of soup. I make one batch with nuts and a second with M&M's, chocolate chips or peanut butter chips. Use what ever your family enjoys.

TOMATO SOUP BROWNIES

1/2 teaspoon butter

1 cup brown sugar or sugar

Add 1/2 (small) can tomato soup

2 teaspoons soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon each cloves and nutmeg

• Add to soup mixture

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup raisins

1/2 cup chopped nuts

• Pour into a greased 9- by 13-inch pan.

• Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
