Purdue University student Jeremy Ramsook of Terre Haute received an award as part of the 44th annual Academic and Service Awards Program of the Purdue Black Caucus of Faculty and Staff.

The Caucus honored about 150 undergraduates at Purdue University on April 13 in the Purdue Memorial Union North Ballroom. University officials, other faculty, staff and dignitaries honored the students and their families at the ceremony and reception.

Every year since 1975, the Caucus has recognized African American students who have distinguished themselves by strong academic performance and noteworthy service and leadership. Besides the longevity of this annual event, the Caucus’ Awards Program remains unique in that it is sponsored directly by Purdue faculty and staff members to honor undergraduates across all colleges and units on the West Lafayette campus.
