Two native Hoosiers — Kelly M. and Elizabeth McGlone — have released two children’s books — “The Lonely Bat,” preschool and elementary editions.
In the short story, children are introduced to a bat named Gregory.
During Gregory’s journey, children are taught important lessons about friendship and acceptance.
Gregory the Bat’s story was written to inspire children to develop empathy for others, and to give them the curiosity to learn more about bats.
The authors are willing to personally donate an autographed copy to any school, library, media or hospital that will agree to a book signing or reading.
Both book editions are 30-page hardcover books published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.
