After her teams finished a combined 1-53 in Missouri Valley Conference matches during the past three seasons, Julie Krofcheck has resigned as Indiana State University’s volleyball coach.

ISU Athletic Director Ron Prettyman announced Krofcheck’s resignation this afternoon.

Krofcheck’s five-year record at ISU was 34-107 overall, 18-72 in the Missouri Valley Conference. But in 2005, 2006 and this past season, the Sycamores won only one conference match.

“I would like to thank Julie Krofcheck for her commitment to the Indiana State University Athletics Department as well as the volleyball program over the past several seasons,” Prettyman said. “She has worked hard at bringing an outstanding level of academic excellence to the program. She has recruited quality young women to the program that will be successful in the years to come. We wish her well in her future endeavors and personal pursuits.”

A national search will begin immediately.
