Michelle Lynn Davis and Andrew Jesse James Shattuck were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 12, 2005, in the Salvation Army Church in Terre Haute.

The bride is the daughter of Linda Davis of Terre Haute. She is a 1997 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, attends Harrold’s Beauty Academy and is employed by Bob Evans Restaurant.

The bridegroom is the son of Andy and Becky Shattuck of West Terre Haute. He is a graduate of West Vigo High School and a 2002 graduate of Indiana Business College. He is employed by The Bug Man.

The bride was given in marriage by her mother.

Cheyenne Poe, Angie Pohlen and Shannon Rowe were bridal attendants.

Scott Fisher, Jason Poe and Jerry Rowe were groomsmen.

Albany Poe was flower girl, and Jace Davis was ring bearer.

A reception followed in The Salvation Army community room. Nancy McCoy provided music.


Kara Lynn Abel and John Andrew Gurchiek were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Sept. 10, 2005, in Centenary United Methodist Church in Terre Haute.

The Rev. Timothy Ramseier officiated. Music was provided by a string quartet. Cary Strahley was vocalist.

Katie Mitchell, the bride’s cousin, was reader.

The bride is the daughter of Eric and Cynthia Abel of Terre Haute. She is a 2002 graduate of Butler University with a bachelor of science degree in biology. She attends Indiana University School of Medicine in pursuit of a pediatric residency in March.

The bridegroom is the son of Michael and Paula Meehan of West Terre Haute and Albert Gurchiek Sr. of Brazil. He is a 2001 graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor of science degree in business and a 2005 graduate of University of Tulsa School of Law. He is an attorney for Modesitt Law Offices of Terre Haute.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.
