Weddings: Dec. 21, 2008

Moore-Blubaum

Sarah Ashley Moore and Brett Ernest Blubaum, both of Terre Haute, were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 20, 2008, during an outdoor ceremony at the bride’s parents’ residence.

The Rev. Bob Rousch officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Nancy and Thomas Moore of Terre Haute. She is a graduate of Purdue University and a quality technician for Danisco USA.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Blubaum Sr. of Pimento. He is a safety and security specialist at Gibault Inc.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Rachel Rasley was honor attendant. Myra Tarrh, Erin Edwards and Rosie Blubaum were bridesmaids.

Eldon Blubaum Jr. was best man. Todd Blubaum, Josh Crossno and Brandon Moore were groomsmen.

Clint Woods and Wayne Cooper were ushers.

Krista and Hailey Kane were flower girls. Clayton and Bryce Blubaum were ring bearers.

A reception followed in the Operating Engineers Union Hall.

The couple took a wedding trip to Barbados and now reside in Prairieton.

Nickles-Phillips

Abby Elizabeth Nickles and Bradley Keith Phillips were united in marriage on May 17, 2008, in Horace Baptist Church at Chrisman, Ill.

Pastor Rick Cook officiated. Organist Carole Anne Cheatham and vocalists Brett Eldredge and Leigh Sullivan provided music.

The bride is the daughter of Debbie Nickles of Paris, Ill. She graduated from West Vigo High School in West Terre Haute in 2004 and is completing her degree in business and marketing at Indiana State University. She is employed by Verizon Wireless in Mount Carmel, Ill.

The bridegroom is the son of Linda and Tom Phillips of rural Chrisman. He is a 2004 graduate of Paris High School, received a bachelor’s degree in construction management at ISU in May 2008, and is employed by Deig Brothers Construction in Evansville.

The bride was escorted by her brothers, K.C. and Dusty Nickles.

Amie Hall, cousin of the bride, was honor attendant.

Chip Keys was best man. Andrew Phillips, Jason Cheatham, Nathan Hall and Aaron Farris were ushers.

Emily Morris was flower girl. Ryan Cheatham was ring bearer.

Special guests at the wedding were Kenneth and Margaret Phillips, grandparents of the bridegroom, and Betty Conine, grandmother of the bride.
