Alabaugh-Deitchley
Andrea Alabaugh and Matthew Deitchley were united in marriage Sept. 23, 2006, in the Evangelical Covenant Church in South Bend.
The Revs. Kevin Brintnall and Kendall Dahlstrom officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Brenda Alabaugh of Clinton. She is a 1997 graduate of South Vermillion High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana with a bachelor of arts degree in advertising and public relations. She is a marketing consultant for Artistic Media Partners.
The bridegroom is the son of Kenneth and Christine Deitchley of South Bend. He is a 1997 graduate of John Adams High School and a 2002 graduate of Ball State University with a bachelor of arts degree in telecommunications. He is the Morning Show executive producer for Grey Television.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Angie Young of Eminence and Sheri Edwards of St. Bernice were honor attendants.
Tim Aberli and Greg Horning, both of South Bend, were best men.
A reception followed in the Century Center’s Whitewater Ballroom at South Bend.
The couple took a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and now reside in South Bend.
Kauffman-Cole
Kristen Elizabeth Kauffman and Matthew Christopher Cole were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. June 30, 2006, in the White Chapel at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
The Rev. Kenneth Wilson officiated. Susan Sneddon provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Liz Kauffman of Terre Haute. She is a 1996 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, a graduate of the Indiana State University with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in athletic training. She is an athletic trainer at Rose-Hulman.
The bridegroom is the son of Larry and Cathy Cole of Terre Haute. He is a 2001 graduate of Lima Bath High School in Lima, Ohio. He received his bachelor of arts degree in media computing with a minor in sports management in 2005 from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. He is an assistant football and assistant track coach at Rose-Hulman.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Nancy Short of Atlanta was honor attendant. Erin Macke and Courtney Myers of Terre Haute were bridesmaids. Angela Durfey and Nichole Lanza also served as bride attendants.
Braden Cole, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Matthew Zuber and Michael Leader, cousin of the bride, were groomsmen.
Alex Cole, brother of the bridegroom, was usher. Kasey Kruger, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.
An hors d’oeuvres reception followed in Idle Creek Banquet Center.
A couple’s shower was hosted on June 4 by Kathy Politz and Vicky Burke.
The couple took a wedding trip to Disney World.
Hill-Thompson
Holly Lea Hill and Scott Lee Ferlita Thompson were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 11, 2006, in the Oldest House, also known as the Gonzales-Alvarez House, built in 1715, owned and operated by the St. Augustine Historical Society in St. Augustine, Fla.
The Rev. Michael-Paul Ruche officiated. Mary Jane Ballou, harpist, provided music.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Hill of Terre Haute. She is a 1998 graduate of West Vigo High School, and has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Flagler College in St. Augustine. She is an assistant director of college relations at Flagler College.
The bridegroom is the son of Dale Thompson of Odessa, Fla., and Evelyn Thompson of Tampa, Fla. He has a bachelor of arts degree in art history and fine arts from Flagler College. He is an architectural designer and head blacksmith at Wonderland Products in Jacksonville, Fla.
Kerri Skinner Carlyon of St. Augustine, Fla., and formerly of Terre Haute, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Heather Hill, sister of the bride, Nancy Thompson, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, Claudia Dencer, and Lauren Thompson, sister of the bridegroom.
Brian Thompson, brother of the bridegroom, and George Dencer were best men. Christopher Wooden and Zachary Hoereth, cousins of the bride, were ushers.
Twins Parker and Nolan Sinclair of Brownsburg were ringbearers.
A shower was hosted by Kerri Carlyon on July 29, 2006, in Florida. A second shower was hosted on Aug. 5, 2006, in Providence Center at St. Mary-of-the-Woods by Debbie Thompson and Jeannine Hill, aunts of the bride, Betty Williams, grandmother of the bride, and Jennifer Hoereth, Julie Sinclair and Stacey Wooden, cousins of the bride.
A reception followed in the Historical Llambias House Gardens at St. Augustine. A second reception is planned for Dec. 29, 2006, in the Ohio Building in Terre Haute.
The couple took a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C. A trip to England is planned for next summer. The couple now reside in St. Augustine.
Young-Keene
Stephanie Elizabeth Young and Derrick Edward Keene were united in marriage Aug. 19, 2006, in the home of the bride’s parents in Charlotte, N.C.
The bride is the daughter of David and Kathy Young. She is a graduate of Independence High School in Charlotte, and attends East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., where she is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice.
The bridegroom is the son of Carol and Jim Messel and Ricky Keene. He graduated from high school in December 2001, is a sergeant in the Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, N.C., and plans to continue his career in the military as a drill instructor in San Diego.
Stephanie Horai was honor attendant. Jessica Brown was bridesmaid.
David Young was best man. Michael Dean was groomsman.
A reception/open house is scheduled 6:30 p.m. Dec. 23 in the Elks Lodge at Sullivan.
The couple plan to reside in San Diego.
