TERRE HAUTE Helms-Brinkley

Clarissa Dawn Helms and James Allen Brinkley of Rome, Ga., were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, in the Rush Chapel United Methodist Church in Rome. The Rev. William Brinkley officiated. Musicians were Donna Gaudreau, pianist, and Kirsten Althoff, vocalist.

The bride is the daughter of Brenda Linder Helms and Kenneth Helms of Terre Haute. She is a 1997 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, graduated in May 2001 from Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in education, and is a bookkeeper.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Brinkley of Rome, Ga. He attended Floyd College in Rome and is a control room operator for Oglethorpe Power.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Kirsten Althoff, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Jolynn Linder of Lawrenceville, Ga., cousin of the bride, and Leanna Sabin of Kingston, Ga., sister of the bridegroom.

Roger McConkey of Armuchee, Ga., was best man. Groomsmen were Khaim Helms of Terre Haute, brother of the bride, and JJ Sabin of Kingston, Ga., brother-in-law of the bridegroom. Tanner Brinkley of Rome, Ga., the bridegroom’s nephew, was junior groomsman.

The flower girl was Molly Ann Linder of Chattanooga, Tenn., cousin of the bride. The bride’s nephews, Jalen Tyler Althoff and Kaden Blaine Althoff, were the ring bearer and remembrance bearer.

The reception followed in Magretta Hall at Rome.

The bridegroom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in Harvest Moon Cafe at Rome. Other pre-nuptial parties included a “Princess and the Pea” bridal shower hosted by Kirsten Althoff and Brenda Helms; a bridal shower hosted by Brenda Lyons and Connie Blalock, both of Rome; a bridal shower hosted by Oak Hill Church of Christ at Rome; and a bachelorette party hosted by Dana Yeargan in Atlanta.

The couple took a wedding trip to Aruba, and now reside in Rome.



Vangilder-Stephens

Heather Vangilder and Josh Stephens were married on July 1, 2006.

The Rev. Timothy Fagg officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Gary and Brenda Meyer of Terre Haute. She is a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in May 2006. She is a certified public accountant for CASY Inc.

The bridegroom is the son of Jeff and Jane Stephens of Terre Haute. He is a 2001 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and employed by Lowes.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Stacy Smith was honor attendant. DJ Stephens, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

Nicole Meyer was flower girl and Kaleb Stephens and Mason Bennet were ring bearers.

A reception followed in Krietenstein American Legion Post 104.

The couple reside in Terre Haute.



Shield-Williamson

Ashley Roselen Nicole Shield and Russell Thomas Williamson were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Aug. 6, 2006, in the White Chapel at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

The Rev. Jack Fox of Maryland Community Church officiated.

The bride is the daughter of George and Penny Reely of Terre Haute. She is a 2003 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School. She is a pre-med major after three years at Indiana State University and is employed by Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

The bridegroom is the son of Mark and Dawn Williamson and Steve and Ginny Mankin, all of Terre Haute. He is a 2001 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, will graduate in May from Indiana State University with a degree in business marketing, and is employed by IOS.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Leah Wichstrom was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Molly McGuire, Jennifer Brainard and Brittani Cottrell, all of Terre Haute.

Ric McKanna was best man. Groomsmen were Mark Jones, Bob Malone and Matt Brown, all of Terre Haute. Ushers were Jeff Shield and Scott Templeton.

Flower girl was Aubrey Shield. Ring bearer was Andrew Shield.

Greeters were Rachel Turner, Erin Cordray and Lauren Rash.

A reception followed in The Ohio Building.

The couple took a wedding cruise to Key West, Cozumel and Belize, and now reside in Terre Haute.



Bland-Schafer

Jessica Bland and Ryan Schafer of Knoxville, Tenn., were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Aug. 5, 2006, in Cokesbury United Methodist Church in Knoxville.

The Rev. Rebekah Fetzer officiated. Danny Brian was the musician.

The bride is the daughter of Cheryl Bland of Terre Haute and the late Robert L. Bland. She is a 1999 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School, is enrolled in the Women’s External Degree program at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, and is employed by Network Healthcare Pharmacy.

The bridegroom is the son of Norbert and Deena Schafer of Madison, Ind. He is a 1998 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School, a 2003 graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and a project engineer at Dupont-Tate & Lyle Bioproducts.

The bride was given in marriage by her brothers, Robert L. Bland Jr. and Jonathan Bland.

Honor attendant was Jennifer Kirk. Bridesmaids were Angela Stinnett and Kaci McKeown.

Best man was Eric Schafer. Groomsmen were Aaron Roberts and Jeff Ferguson.

A reception followed in Middlebrook Gardens.

The couple took a wedding trip to Ashville, N.C., and now reside in Knoxville.



Cambell-Edwards

Christina Lee Cambell and Dustin Lee Edwards were united in marriage at 3 p.m. on June 17, 2006, in an outdoor ceremony at Fowler Park.

The Rev. John Sandiford officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Evelyn Wilson.

The bridegroom is the son of Rick and Lora Edwards.

The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Paul Bullock.

Cheri Pullen was honor attendant and Brenda Durbin, the bridegroom’s aunt, was bridesmaid.

Chris Edwards, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man. Dean Barnes and Billy Benefiel were groomsmen.

Kayla Speth, the bride’s cousin, was flower girl and Lillian Cutliff, the bridegroom’s cousin, was junior flower girl.

Blake Speth, the bride’s cousin, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Fowler Park.
