— Dever-Darrus
Alexis Dever and Peter Darrus were united in marriage on June 24, 2006, in the Parish of the Holy Temple of Agios Nikolaos on the island of Ammouliani in Greece.
Father Antonios Vakopoulos resided over the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of William and Mary Dever of Terre Haute. She is a graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School, earned a bachelor of science degree from Indiana University and a master of science degree from Indiana University. She is a guidance counselor for the Vigo County School Corp.
The bridegroom is the son of Nicholas and Andrea Darrus of Glenview, Ill. He is a graduate of Glenbrook South High School and earned a bachelor of science degree from Michigan State University. He is an account manager at Dever Distributing.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Alexandra Kanellis, cousin of the bride, served as Kumbara and matron of honor and helped to marry the couple. Marissa Dever, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Kostantina Darrus and Paraskevi Darrus, sisters of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. Emily Felling Long, Suzanne Reilly and Jana Kraly Walker, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids.
Apostolis Vasileiadis, cousin of the bride, was best man. Michael Dever, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Steven Kosick, friend of the groom, and Dan Salazar, cousin of the bride, assisted with the ceremonial shaving of the bridegroom.
Eva Vasileiadis, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
A dinner reception followed at the Agionissi Resort. Suzanne Reilly performed several songs.
Wedding showers for friends and family members were given by Marissa Dever, Alexandra Kanellis, Kristine Engbretson, Brenda Williams, Amy Laswell, Debbie Haskell, Eileen Prose and Patty Thoms.
The couple were joined by family and friends the week before the wedding for a trip throughout Greece. After the wedding, the couple spent time in Greece and Italy. They now reside in Terre Haute.
Joest-Moore
Kari Lynn Joest and Frank William Moore III were married at 2:30 p.m. July 15, 2006, in New Life United Methodist Church in Fairland.
The Rev. Gloria Nelson officiated. Kathleen Moore was a reader. Margaret Moore was cellist. Robin Hopkins was guitarist and Kathleen Miller, Kimberly Browning and James and Jan Meyer were soloists. Christie Miller was pianist.
The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Stephanie Joest of Fairland. She is a 2002 graduate of Triton Central High School and is pursuing a degree in elementary education at Indiana State University.
The bridegroom is the son of Frank Moore Jr. and Ruth Moore of Terre Haute. He is a 2000 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, a 2004 graduate of ISU with a bachelor of science degree in physics, and a quality assurance technician at Cargill Dry Corn Ingredients at Paris, Ill.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Carrie Schoettmer was honor attendant. Hannah Joest and Catherine Morrow were bridesmaids.
Brandon Stearley was best man. Adam Yowell and Brad Sneed were groomsmen. Steve McLin, Zack Coleman and Jon Moore were ushers.
Jessica Davies was guest book attendant.
A reception followed in the Shelby County Fraternal Order of Police.
The couple took a wedding trip to Hershey and Philadelphia, Pa., and now reside in Terre Haute.
Myers-Robins
Penny Ann Myers and Dennis Lee Robins Jr. were married at 11:30 a.m. on July 19, 2006, in Central Christian Church.
The Rev. Rebecca Zelensky officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Marlyn and Wayne Myers of Terre Haute. She attended Terre Haute North Vigo High School and is a stay-at-home mother.
The bridegroom is the son of Donna Blankenship of Terre Haute and Dennis Robins Sr. of Terre Haute. He attended Terre Haute North and serves in the U.S. Army, stationed in Mississippi and deployed to Iraq.
