TERRE HAUTE Bledsoe-Ahrens

Katherine Kunkler Bledsoe of Terre Haute and William Henry Ahrens of Indian River Shores, Fla., were married July 5, 2006, in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Park City, Utah.

The Rev. David E. Nolan, the bridegroom’s nephew, officiated.

The couple reside in Indian River Shores



Batdorf - Overbey

Kristen Denise Batdorf and Daniel James Overbey were married May 27, 2006, in O’Shaughnessy Dining Hall at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.

The Rev. Jon Overbey, the bridegroom’s father, officiated.

Nieces from both families served as the flower girls and junior bridesmaid.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Diane Batdorf of Owensville. She holds a bachelor of science degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., and a master of science degree from Oakland City University.

The bridegroom is the son of Jon Overbey of Rockville and Linda Brentlinger of Clinton. He is a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie and is pursuing a postgraduate degree from the Univerisity of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The couple reside in southern Nevada.



McEntire-Stanley

Nan McEntire and David Stanley were married July 1, 2006, in the First Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Terre Haute.

The bride, a Chicago native, teaches folklore at Indiana State University, where she is an associate professor in the English department. She holds degrees from Keuka College in Keuka, N.Y., and from Indiana University in Bloomington, where she earned her Ph.D. in 1990.

The bridegroom, of Vienna, Va., teaches English at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. He attended Princeton University and the University of Texas at Austin, from which he received his doctorate in 1980.

The couple took a wedding trip to Brown County.



Min-Wiemuth

Liliane Min and Michael P. Wiemuth, both of King of Prussia, Penn., were married at 5 p.m. July 3, 2006, in Nisbet Plantation Beach Club at St. James Parish, Nevis Island, in the Caribbean.

The Rev. Morton officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Byung Kak Min and Myong Sook Min of Bayside, N.Y. She earned a bachelor of science degree in 1996 from Cornell University and a doctor of medicine degree in 2000 from NYU School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency at Temple Univeristy in Philadelphia and a rheumatology fellowship in June at Albert Einstein Medical Center, New York.

The bridegroom is the son of Robert Wiemuth and Linda Wiemuth of Terre Haute. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in 1999 at Indiana University, is pursuing a master of business administration at Temple University in Philadelphia, and is a human resources consultant.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Larissa Min, the bride’s sister, was honor attendant.

Jay Wiemuth, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man.

Christopher Wiemuth was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Nisbet Plantation.

The couple reside in Philadelphia.



Gilbert-Hunter

Lindsay Renee Gilbert and David Brian Hunter Jr. were united in marriage July 3, 2006, during a private ceremony in Owensboro, Ky.

The bride is the daughter of Janis and Jim Cheek and Chris and Karen Gilbert, all of Shelburn. She is a 1995 graduate of Union High School and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business marketing.

The bridegroom is the son of David and Lynn Hunter of Farmersburg and is employed by Laborers International Union, Local 204 of Terre Haute.

A reception for friends and relatives took place Aug. 18, 2006, in the 4-H building at the Sullivan County Fairgrounds.

The couple reside in Farmersburg.
