Pastore-Yocum
Britannia R. Pastore and James Joseph Yocum were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. June 17, 2006, in LeFer Hall at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.
The Rev. Marion J. Pastore, the bride’s cousin and pastor of New Beginnings Baptist Church of New Goshen, officiated. Wea Indian Council Rep. Mary Holtzclaw of Mount Carmel, Ill., recited prayers in traditional Native American Miami language.
The bride is the daughter of Patricia L. Pastore of Clinton and the late Lawrence L. Griffith. She is a 1979 graduate of South Vermillion High School in Clinton and studied geology at Indiana State University.
The bridegroom is the son of James W. and Dianna Yocum of Blanford. He is a graduate of South Vermillion and employed by Dedicated Logistics Inc. of St. Paul, Minn.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Keven Griffith of Terre Haute.
Norma Hutson of Clinton was honor attendant. Amanda Pharo of Terre Haute was bridesmaid.
James M. Rigsby of Blanford was best man. Lennie Waltz of Chrisman, Ill., was groomsman.
Trislynn Phillips of Portland was flower girl and Breyton Waltz of Chrisman was ring bearer.
Sandra Stafford read the bride’s poem to the bridegroom.
A traditional reception followed in LeFer Hall. Miranda Sparks and Kitrina Fisher assisted. Karen Daniels and Sandy Sanquenetti were servers.
The couple took a wedding trip to Moondance Vacation Lodge in Nashville, Ind., and now reside in rural Rosedale.
