Weddings: Aug. 10, 2008

Jackson-Sharp-Gregory


Karen Lynn Jackson-Sharp and William “Bruce” Anthony Gregory were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, in Northside Community Methodist Church.

The Rev. Frank Oakman officiated. Pianist Amy Mason provided music.

The bride is the daughter of Anita and William Jackson, both of Hernando, Fla., and Terre Haute. She is a 1990 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and is employed by Rescare.

The bridegroom is the son of the late Linnie and William “Bert” Gregory and honorable parents, Linda and Ed Powell of Terre Haute. He is a 1981 graduate of North Vigo High School and is employed by Bob Evans Farms Restaurant.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

Barbara Vrabic, sister of the bride, and Anita Rose Sharp, daughter of the bride, were honor attendants. Denise Bell and Cheryl Dye were bridesmaids.

Larry McBride was best man. J.W. Sharp, son of the bride, was junior best man. John Marshall and Jay Roeschlein were groomsmen.

Michael Bell and Kevin Ford were ushers. Hannah McBride was flower girl. Kevin Ford Jr. was ring bearer.

David Jackson, brother of the bride, was guest book attendant. Robin Lenhart arranged the flowers.

Susan Van Deventer designed and made the cake.

The bride’s daughter lit a memorial candle in honor of the bridegroom’s parents. The couple also lit a family candle with the bride’s son and daughter, joining them as one family.

Photography was done by family and friends. Dominique and Destiny Dye handed out bubbles.

A reception with an informal dinner, cake and skating followed in Skate World in Terre Haute. The bride and friends prepared the food. Nicole Rukes and Delarma Edmonson assisted.

The couple took a wedding trip to Indianapolis and a family trip with the kids to Southern Indiana and Holiday World. They now reside in Terre Haute.

Logan-Noland


Millie M. Marina Logan and Terry L. Noland were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. May 17, 2008, in Unity Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. Joe Dayhuff officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mildred Marina of Terre Haute and the late Frederick Marina. She is a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College and a secretary for Union Hospital Therapeutics Department.

The bridegroom is the son of Juanita Noland of Barnesville, Ohio, and the late Donald Noland. He is a graduate of Westminster College and a manager for Starbucks.

The bride was given in marriage by Donnie W. White III, nephew of the bride.

Haley Marie Logan was honor attendant. Hannah Elizabeth Smith was bridesmaid.

Enrique Aguilar was best man. Jay Winbush was groomsman.

Catherine Washburn was flower girl.

A dessert reception followed in the church. Debbie Burgess and Janet Brenneman were assistants.

The couple took a wedding cruise to the Bahamas and now reside in Terre Haute.



Henley-Trueblood


Linda Henley of Abilene, Texas, and Darrell Trueblood, formerly of Prairie Creek, were united in marriage on Friday, July 4, 2008, during a garden ceremony at the home of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence Sutherland. She is an office supervisor for an audiology practice.

Trueblood is the son of Martha Trueblood of Sullivan and the late Cecil Trueblood. He is a retired carpenter.

The bride was given in marriage by Taylor Henley, son of the bride.

Ashley Henley, daughter of the bride, was honor attendant.

Tim Sutherland, brother of the bride, was best man.

The couple took a wedding cruise to the Mexican Rivera and now reside at their ranch in Abilene.
