Courtney Wilson and Christopher Haynes were united in marriage on March 8, 2008, in the Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago.
The Rev. John Vest officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Sherry Wilson of River Forest, Ill., and Rex Wilson of Houghton, Mich. She is a 2000 graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in economics. She works in the private equity group of Mesirow Financial in Chicago.
Haynes is the son of Nancy and David Haynes of Terre Haute. He is a 1995 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and a 2000 graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He is an industrial engineer with John Crane Inc.
Kristen Wilson of Chicago, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Megan Walsh of Koror, Palau; Stacy Vlahakis and Grace Wahler, both of Chicago; Kimberly Sweet of San Diego; and Jessie Haynes of New Orleans.
Beau Haynes of New Orleans, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Charlie Haynes of Columbus, Ohio, and Geoffrey Haynes of Bloomington, the bridegroom’s brothers; Michael Woodworth of Indianapolis; and Richard Templeton and Zach Williams, both of Chicago.
Ushers were Harley McKinley of Washington, D.C.; Kevin Graff of Chicago; Hugo Sandstrom of New York; and Rick Randjelovic of Indianapolis. Nick Wilson, brother of the bride, was the program attendant.
A cocktail reception, dinner and dancing followed in The Newberry Library at Chicago.
The couple took a wedding trip to South Africa and Tanzania and now reside in Chicago.
