Waldbieser-Petzke

Christa Kay Waldbieser and John Joseph Petzke III were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2006, in the Mavris Cultural Center at Indianapolis.

Dr. Scott Toussaint of Wedding Chaplains officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Joel and Pat Waldbieser of Terre Haute. She is a 1995 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, a 1999 graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and a 2005 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a master’s degree in business administration. She is employed by Contech Bridge Solutions as a project consultant for Central Indiana.

The bridegroom is the son of Diane and John Petzke Jr. of Cassville, N.Y. He is a 1997 graduate of Sauquoit Valley High School and a 2001 graduate of Canisius College with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. He is employed in sales with J.P. Morgan Chase in Indianapolis.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Heidi Moore and Stephanie Benson were honor attendants. Bridesmaids were Marianne McCloskey-Butt, Michelle Sandquist and Diane Mack.

David Cotrupe was the best man. Groomsmen were Todd Cushman, Paul Petzke, Chad Desfano and Ryan Nyce.

Flower girls were Amanda and Karen Waldbieser. Ringbearers were Jacob and Jared Moore.

A reception followed upstairs at the Mavris Arts and Culture Center.

The couple took a wedding trip to Jamaica and now reside in Indianapolis.

Mahoney-Elkins

Katiri Mahoney and Gregg Elkins were united in marriage at 6 p.m. on Dec. 29, 2006, in St. Benedict Catholic Church.

The Rev. Joel Burget officiated. Cantor was Becky Doti. Organist Bruce Waskeivez and pianist Rosemary Shavloske provided the music.

The bride is the daughter of Chuck and Kerry Mahoney of Hopkinsville, Ky. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Indiana State University in 2003, and is pursuing a master of science in nursing at the University of Southern Indiana. She is employed by Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

The bridegroom is the son of Kenny and Nansue Dean of Terre Haute. He received a bachelor of science degree in finance from Indiana State University in 2004. He is employed with AXA Advisors as a financial consultant.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Margaret Mahoney, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Gordon, Lacey McMillian, Dawn Fall, Vickie Hendricks and Kim Egli.

Kyle Dean, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were John Sitarski, Kyle Clingingsmith, AJ Walker, Charlie Mahoney and Adam Azar. Ushers were Bryan Burdick and John Keppler.

Readers were Sara Dade, Nikki Mahoney and Russell Smith. Eucharistic ministers were Mara McNabb and Rachel Baxter. Presentation of gifts was by Mary Jo Mahoney and Robin Smith.

Assistants were Angie Bronson, Alissa Keller, Robin Patton, Shellie Chambers, Natalie Brame and Jennifer Dean.

Hostesses for a kitchen shower in Hopkinsville were Patsy Love and Robin Patton. An around-the-house shower in Hopkinsville was hosted by Kerry and Margaret Mahoney. A bridal shower in Terre Haute was hosted by Amy Madsen, Shannon Hauger and Sheila Nicosin. The bridesmaids hosted a personal shower and bachelorette party in Louisville, Ky. Another bridal shower in Terre Haute was hosted by Nansue and Jennifer Dean.

A dinner and dance reception followed in Idle Creek Banquet Center.

The couple took a wedding trip to Antigua and will reside in Terre Haute.
