Simpson—Martin
Nichole Laschelle Simpson and Michael David Martin were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2006, in Highland Baptist Church in Terre Haute.
The Rev. Terrell Jones officiated. Nick Adle, pianist, and Norlan “Delray” Smith, soloist, provided the music.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Thomas and Wynona Pendergast of Terre Haute. She is a graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and attended Indiana State University for a number of years.
The bridegroom is the son of Dr. David and Teresa Martin of Nashville, Tenn. He is a graduate of Northrop High School and will soon graduate from Indiana State University as a professional aviation technologist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Monica Smith was matron of honor and Alexandria Simpson was junior matron of honor. Darneatryce Scott and Michelle Davidson were maids of honor.
Matthew Martin was best man and Aaron Simpson was junior best man. Steven and Kyle Pendergast were groomsmen.
Daniel Ballanger and Tristan Scott were ushers. Alexandria Simpson also was flower girl.
Aaron Simpson also was ring bearer. Ashle Morrow was guest book and program attendant.
A reception followed in the Chestnut Room of the Holiday Inn in Terre Haute. Music was provided by Apollo Productions.
The couple took a four-day wedding trip to Nashville, Tenn., and plan an eight-day Caribbean cruise in May. They will reside in Terre Haute.
Minder—Wilson
Chelsea Rose Minder and Travis Lee Wilson were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30, 2006, in the White Chapel in Terre Haute.
The Rev. Steve Rundell officiated. Dana Stapp provided the music.
The bride is the daughter of David and Donna Stapp of Terre Haute and Dennis Minder of Cloverdale. She is a 2003 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and a 2006 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College. She is employed by David Stapp Photography and Kiddie Carousel Daycare and Preschool.
The bridegroom is the son of Albert and Bonnie Wilson of Terre Haute and a 1999 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School. He is employed by Ampacet Corp.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Carole Busch and Ashlea Lankford were honor attendants. Betsy Vermillion and Melanie Trueblood were bridesmaids.
Steve Hansell was best man. Jerod Newton, Les Tincher and Jeremy Jackson were groomsmen.
Isaac Eccles and Jeremy Peter, cousins of the bride, were ushers. Makenna Eccles, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. LaChrista Eccles was guest-book and program attendant.
A bridal shower was given by Ashlea Lankford, Donna Stapp and Bonnie Wilson.
A buffet and dance reception followed in St. George’s Social Center.
The couple took a wedding trip to Disney World in Orlando, Fla., and now reside in Terre Haute.
Garnes—Walker
Tamra Garnes, formerly of Terre Haute, and Jeffrey Walker were united in marriage on March 26, 2007, on the island of St. Thomas.
The bride is the daughter of Sharon Wood Clark of Jacksonville, Fla., and Charles Garnes of Vinton, Ohio. She is a graduate of Greencastle High School and DePauw University in Greencastle. She is employed by Greencastle Community Schools as an assistant principal.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Dr. Benjamin T. Walker and Katrina Walker. Rollins attended Delta High School in Muncie and is a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy. He is a captain with the Indiana State Police.
The couple now reside in Indianapolis.
