Wisley-Padien
Lesley Ann Wisley and Mark Richard Padien were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 16, 2008, in Trinity United Methodist Church at Savannah, Ga.
The Rev. Brian Jobe officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Karen and Jim Wisley of Terre Haute. She is a 1998 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School, a 2002 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in graphic design and exercise science, and a 2006 graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a master of fine arts degree in animation. She is a character designer for Cartoon Network Adult Swim and Shadow Animation in Los Angeles, and a professor of animation at the Art Institute of California.
The bridegroom is the son or Sue and Richard Padien of Scituate, R.I. He is a 1997 graduate of Scituate High School with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Rhode Island and the University of Phoenix. After serving five years as a U.S. Army officer, he is now a project manager for the civil engineering company Atkinson Construction at Irvine, Calif.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Lindsay Swan, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Adrienne Hutson, Amy Hughes, Erin Brindley and Celia Crowley were bridesmaids.
Keith Padien, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Jim Carr, Nick Desousa, Mike Deffley and Sean Crowley were groomsmen.
Troy Swan and Matt Turcotte were ushers. Ashlyn Swan, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Zach Champagne, cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
Kristy Wilde and Jocelyn Egle were guest book attendants.
A cocktail reception, formal dinner and dancing followed in the Grand Ballroom at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah.
The couple took a wedding trip to Tahiti and the French Polynesian Islands, and now reside in Irvine, Calif.
Toffolo-Rice
Lauren Toffolo and James Rice III were united in marriage Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, in their home overlooking Collett Park.
Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett officiated.
The bride is the daughter of the late Lester and Thelma Smith. She is a graduate of Indiana State University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and a functional leader in the information systems department at AET Films.
The bridegroom, formerly of Bangor, Maine, is the son of the late James E. Rice Jr. and Beatrice Rice. He served as a staff sergeant in the Air Force, was a shift supervisor for 19 years at International Paper, and is now the finishing operations coordinator in the tubular plant at AET Films.
Jessica Grimes was honor attendant.
Mike Curts was best man.
The ceremony was followed by a champagne brunch provided by George and Cathy Azar.
The couple took a trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., and reside in Terre Haute.
