Edgerton—Elder
Elizabeth R. Edgerton of Chicago and formerly of Terre Haute and Robert K. Elder of Chicago and formerly of Billings, Mont., were united in marriage March 18, 2006, in Chicago.
The Rev. Aimy Carlozo officiated, and was assisted by Linda McCarty of West Terre Haute.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Paul and Nancy Edgerton of West Terre Haute. She teaches journalism at Columbia College in Chicago.
Elder is the son of Rick Elder of Elko, Nev., and Tina McClean of Billings. He is a writer for the Chicago Tribune.
Carmichael—Heramb
Crystal Marie Carmichael and Travis Scott Heramb were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 21, 2006, in Northside Community United Methodist Church at Terre Haute.
The Rev. Earl McClelland officiated.
Annette Smith, aunt of the bridegroom, provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth and Peggy Carmichael of Terre Haute. She is a 2002 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, and works in the cardiovascular and neurophysiology department at Union Hospital.
The bridegroom is the son of Ronald and Penny Smith of Terre Haute. He is a 2001 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and employed by Pike Lumber Co. at Carbon.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Kerry Brunt-Meloon was honor attendant. Ashley Briddick, Jennifer Hanley and Erin Bays were bridesmaids. Cami Smith, sister of the bridegroom, was junior bridesmaid.
Ron Smith, father of the bridegroom, was best man. Joe Bays, Greg Bays and Kenny Carmichael, brother of the bride, were groomsmen.
Roy Smith, uncle of the bridegroom, and Harry Shepherd Jr., grandfather of the bride, were ushers and candle lighters.
Gregie Bays was ring bearer. Mackenzie Bays and Brianna Bays were flower girls.
Sarah Shepherd and Shelby Kearschner were guest book attendants.
A reception followed in Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 Recreation Hall at East Glenn. Music was provided by DJ Danny Wayne. Family members assisted at the reception.
A bridal shower was given in August by Tharon Geckeler, the bride’s aunt, and her cousins Shellee, Donna, Rebecca and Lisa, in the church.
The couple took a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, and now reside in Terre Haute.
