Figg-Orwig

Allison Figg and Jordan Orwig, both of Sullivan, were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 22, 2007, in Crossroads Community Church in Sullivan.
The Rev. Eddie Hammond officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Kim and Jeff Figg of Sullivan. She is a 2004 graduate of Sullivan High School and a winter 2007 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree in English.
The bridegroom is the son of Barb and Troy Orwig of Sullivan. He is a 2004 graduate of Sullivan High School and a senior at Indiana University in Bloomington. He is employed by Black Beauty Coal in Farmersburg.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Micah May was honor attendant. Sarah Bowser, Kaylan McKain and Katelyn Orwig were bridesmaids.
Rob Conde was best man. Jeremy and Joshua Orwig and Tyler Figg were groomsmen.
Luke Hancock and Wes Drew were ushers. Chloe and Grace Coryea were flower girls.
Christian Smith was ring bearer.
A reception followed in the Roy Clark Building in Linton.
The couple took a wedding trip to Florida and now reside in Bloomington.

Fields-Shaw

Paula Beth Fields and Scott Allen Shaw, both of Shelbyville and formerly of Terre Haute, were united in marriage at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in Deming Park. Chaplain/Captain Jim Staggers officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Janet Sue Fields of Shelbyville and formerly of Terre Haute and the late Paul Edward Fields. She is a 1989 graduate of Colonial High School in Orlando, Fla., and graduated in 1993 from Ivy Tech Community College with certification in medical transcription.
The bridegroom is the son of Linda Bowles-Clodfelter of Brazil and Ron Shaw of Terre Haute. He is a 1986 graduate of Rockville High School and a 1992 graduate of Vincennes University with a degree in computer programming. He is an inventory controller with Ryobi DieCasting in Shelbyville and a sergeant first class with the Army National Guard, 76th Brigade, 3-139th Field Artillery with 22 years service.
Jessalyn, the bride’s daughter, was honor attendant. Nicholas, the bridegroom’s son, was best man.
A reception followed the ceremony in Deming Park.
A wedding trip to Hawaii is planned for 2009 after Shaw returns from a 12-month deployment to Iraq in December.

Washington-Gootee

Amanda Marie Washington of Terre Haute and Anthony Ryan Gootee of Indianapolis were united in marriage at 1 p.m. Aug. 25, 2007, in Eastside Church of Christ in Terre Haute.
The Rev. Tom Simmons officiated. Darin Herzog, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, officiated the communion ceremony. The Rev. Shane and Janet Parker provided the photography.
The bride is the daughter of Sandra and Lonnie Wiram of Terre Haute. She is a 2000 graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College. She formerly owned and operated her own housekeeping service and is now a homemaker.
The bridegroom is the son of Anita and Robert Gootee of Indianapolis. He is a 2000 graduate of Warren Central High School and a graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor of science degree. He is an insurance agent for Western and Southern Financial Group.
The bride was given in marriage by her two sons and her parents.
Elizabeth Wiram-Scamihorn, sister of the bride, and Amanda Duncan were honor attendants. Jennifer Brown-Myers and Stevie Isle were bridesmaids.
Kenneth Gootee, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Danna Duncan, Carey Neuerman and John Simmons were groomsmen.
Brian Horban and Lonnie Wiram, brother of the bride, were ushers.
Sabrina Herzog, sister of the bridegroom, and Esther and Ella Duncan escorted flower girls Kierstyn and Brooklyn Herzog, nieces of the bridegroom.
Brycin Herzog, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
Bridal showers were given by both honor attendants and by the mother of the bride.
A reception followed in the church.
The couple now reside in Indianapolis.
