Fields-Shaw


Paula Beth Fields and Scott Allen Shaw, both of Shelbyville and formerly of Terre Haute, were united in marriage at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in Deming Park. Jim Staggers officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Janet Sue Fields of Shelbyville and formerly of Terre Haute and the late Paul Edward Fields. She is a 1989 graduate of Colonial High School in Orlando, Fla., and a 1993 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College with a certificate in medical transcription. She is employed as a medical transcriptionist.

The bridegroom is the son of Linda Bowles-Clodfelter of Brazil and Ron Shaw of Terre Haute. He is a 1986 graduate of Rockville High School and a 1992 graduate of Vincennes University with a degree in computer programming. He is an inventory controller with Ryobi DieCasting in Shelbyville and a sergeant first class with the Army National Guard, 76th Brigade and 139 Division Field Artillery with 22 years service.

Jessalyn, the bride’s daughter, was honor attendant. Nicholas, the bridegroom’s son was best man.

A wedding trip to Hawaii is planned for 2009 after Shaw returns from a 12-month deployment to Iraq in December.



Crockett-Wright


Gretchen Crockett and Wayne Wright were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, in World Gospel Church.

The Rev. Coker officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Cheryl and Dave Coker of West Terre Haute. She is a graduate of West Vigo High School and Indiana State University, and a teacher with Vigo County School Corp.

Wright is the son of Kathy and Danny Wright of Terre Haute. He is a graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and Vincennes University, and is employed by Sunshine Coal Mine.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Kristin Snow was honor attendant. Erin Wright, Jessica Bates and Allison Chestnut were bridesmaids. Morgan Robertson was junior bridesmaid.

Justin Long was best man. Jason Long, Max Brown, DJ Snow and Eric Sullivan were groomsmen.

Kyle Crockett and Cody Rich were ushers. Trace Wright was ring bearer.

A reception followed in the Operating Engineers Local 841 Hall.

The couple took a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., and now reside in Terre Haute.
