Weddings: Dec. 5, 2010

Sisk-Davis

Amanda Rose Sisk and Michael Richard Davis were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, in the Faithful Hearts Wedding Chapel at Terre Haute.

Faith Maher officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Lisa and Dan Bogard of West Terre Haute and a 1998 graduate of West Vigo High School in West Terre Haute. She is employed by First Financial Bank.

The bridegroom is the son of Julie Davis of Center Point and Robyn and Larry Davis Jr. of Cloverdale. He is a 2001 graduate of Clay City High School and a 2009 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College with an associate’s degree in applied science in apprenticeship technology plumber and pipefitter. He is a journeyman with Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 157.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Sheri Boardman and Melissa Jones were honor attendants.

Jason Long was best man. Groomsmen were the bridegroom’s father and the bride’s son, Blake Sisk.

A dinner and dance reception took place Nov. 13, 2010, in the Plumbers and Steamfitters Recreation Hall.

They now reside in Terre Haute.

Ayers-Bales

Melissa Lynn Ayers and Ronald Eugene Bales were united in marriage Aug. 28, 2010, in the First United Methodist Church at Sullivan.

The Revs. Paul Ayers and Frank Van Allen officiated. Music was provided by Greg Pepper. Randy and Shelley Nichols provided special music.

The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Paul and Linda Ayers of Liberty. She is a graduate of Union County High School and Taylor University, and is employed by Flagstar Bank. 

The bridegroom is the son of Don and Brenda Bales of Terre Haute. He is a graduate of Terre Haute South Vigo High School and Purdue University, and is employed by the Indiana Department of Transportation. 

Amanda Cull, sister of the bride, was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Linda Sturgeon of Bluffton, Amy Cull of Sandusky, Ohio, and Kelsey Badger of Sullivan. 

Flower girl was Faith Bales, niece of the bridegroom.

Don R. Bales, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Jarrod Bahr of Virginia Beach, Va., Dale Cull of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Matthew Sturgeon of Bluffton. 

Ring bearer was Franklin Bales, nephew of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Alan and Patrick Badger, Ron Nichols, and Steve and Aaron Sturgeon.

A reception followed in Chestnut Hall in the Terre Haute Holiday Inn.  

The couple now reside in Greenfield.
