Mr. and Mrs. A. Edward Maners

Mr. and Mrs. A. Edward Maners of Terre Haute and formerly of Avon will observe their 50th wedding anniversary June 6, 2008.
They also celebrated with a luncheon and reception hosted by their son Gary Maners and wife Cheryl on June 21, 2008. A trip also is planned to Nova Scotia in July.
The Maners were married June 6, 1958 at the Christian Church in Paragon, Ind., by Pastor William Schermin.
Mrs. Maners, the former June Callahan, retired from teaching in 1983.
Maners retired from Eli Lilly in January 1993 after 27 years of service. He is currently employed part-time with Midwest Architecture in Terre Haute.
The couple have one son and two grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Woods

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Woods of Terre Haute will observe their 40th wedding anniversary today July 6, 2008. They celebrated with friends and family on July 5th with a cookout and fellowship at their residence.

The couple were married July 6, 1968 in Terre Haute.
The couple have five children, Brent Woods and wife Leslie, Larry Woods, Mary Kotterman and husband Justin, Clint Woods and the late Todd Woods. They also have two grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Steven Robert Klapko

Mr. and Mrs. Steven Robert Klapko of Terre Haute will observe their 50th wedding anniversary today July 6, 2008. The couple will celebrate one week in July during a family reunion at Salt Fork State Park in Ohio.
The couple were married July 6, 1958 in SS. Peter and Paul Church in Saginaw, Mich. by MSGR. John J. Sonefeld.
Mrs. Klapko, the former Mary Catherine McCormick, was a homemaker, prep cook and party coordinator for five years and is now retired.
Klapko retired in 2001 after 44 years in retail management with GC Murphy Co., Ames and Wal-Mart.
The couple have three children, Steve Klapko Jr. and wife Terri of Belair, Md., Judith Klapko Desantis and husband Mark and Jim Klapko and wife Laura all of Terre Haute.
