Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Strain Sr.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Strain Sr. of Prairie Creek will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Monday, June 30, 2008. The Strains were married June 30, 1958, in the home of the Rev. George and Helen Quinn.
Mrs. Strain, the former Sharon Hayhurst, has been employed for 33 years as a bus driver for the Vigo County School Corp. Strain is retired from Pfizer Inc. after 31 years and now farms.
The couple have two children, Yvonna Dudley and husband Paul and Kenneth Strain Jr. and wife Kathleen. They also have two granddaughters and one stepgrandson.
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Culver
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Culver of Terre Haute celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with friends and family on Saturday, June 21, 2008. They also celebrated earlier with a month long trip to Perdido Key.
The Culvers were married June 24, 1978, in the Chapel of Promises in Reno, Nev.
The couple have five sons and several grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hart
Mr. and Mrs. John Hart of St. Bernice will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday, July 6, 2008.
The Harts were married July 6, 1968, in the Methodist Church in Marshall, Ill., by the Rev. McIntosh.
Mrs. Hart, the former Linda Hunt, is retired from Sony/DADC. Hart is retired from Eli Lilly & Co.
The couple have four children, John Hart and wife Amy of St. Bernice, Twila Hart of Clinton, Erin Haltom and husband Greg of Lafayette, and Jamie Hart of Clinton. They also have nine grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. David Lorenze
Mr. and Mrs. David Lorenze will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family today, June 29, 2008.

The couple were married June 29, 1958, in the Northside Church of Christ at Terre Haute.
Mrs. Lorenze is the former Shirley Jameson.
The couple have two children, David Lorenze and wife Barbara and Richard Lorenze and wife Traci. They also have four grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Lusk Spurgeon Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. Lusk Spurgeon Jr. of Franklin and formerly of Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends today, June 29, 2008, in Franklin United Methodist Church.
The Spurgeons were married on June 29, 1958.
Mrs. Spurgeon, the former Myrna Beth Cloud, is a retired teacher for Deming Elementary School.
Spurgeon is retired from Vigo White Trucking.
The couple have one son, Roger Spurgeon and wife Cathy. They also have three grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Terry Graham
Mr. and Mrs. Terry Graham of West Terre Haute will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary during an open house from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at 219 N. Providence Place, off Old Paris Road in West Terre Haute.
Friends and relatives are invited.
The Grahams were married July 10, 1958, in Woodbury, Tenn.
Mrs. Graham, the former Maxine Gunter, is a homemaker. Graham is retired from Eli Lilly & Co.
The couple have four children, Judy Phillips and husband Jim, and Curtis Graham, all of West Terre Haute; Scott Graham of Carbon; and the late Donald Graham. They also have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald P. Jennings
Mr. and Mrs. Donald P. Jennings of Terre Haute celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during a dinner on Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the home of their son and daughter-in-law Gregory D. and Janice Jennings of Terre Haute.
The couple were married June 28, 1958, in the Central Christian Church at Terre Haute by the Rev. R. Powell Mead.
Mrs. Jennings is the former Lou Anne Sullivan. Jennings is retired from the Vigo County School Corp.
The couple’s daughter, Gina L. Jennings of Terre Haute was co-host of the event. They also have five grandchildren.
