Edith Ulrey
MARTINSVILLE, Ill. — Edith Ulrey, 98, of Martinsville died at 8:20 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2006, in Heartland Manor Nursing Home in Casey. She was a homemaker and her greatest joys were caring for her family and life on the farm.
She was born Sept., 4, 1907, in Parker Township, Clark County, Ill., to Ferdinand and Lydia Oca Barbee Knecht. Her husband, Raymond Ulrey, whom she married Nov. 25, 1931, died June 12, 1996. Survivors include one son, Billie Ray Ulrey and his wife, Cathy of Marshall; one sister, Bertha Staley of Casey; two grandsons, Terry Perisho and his wife, Sharyl of Martinsville, and Brent Ulrey and his wife, Beth of Maroa; and seven great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Kashtyn, Keith and Kyle Perisho and Brooke, Brody and Braxton Ulrey. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Rosetta Perisho; one son-in-law, Herb Perisho; one grandson, Tracy Perisho; two brothers, Vere and Elbert Knecht; and one sister, Rose Darr.
Services are 10:30 a.m. today in Greenwell Funeral Home, with the Rev. George Nika officiating. Burial is in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Martinsville Bible Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 310, Martinsville, IL 62442. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home.
