Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown of Avon and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Phillips of Brownsburg announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Heidi Phillips, to Derek Mogan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mogan of Brazil.
The couple will exchange wedding vows at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, in McKinley Hill Church of Christ in Brazil.
A reception will follow in Traditions in Brazil.
Friends and relatives are invited.
The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Brownsburg High School and a 2000 graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University Kelly School of Business.
Mogan is a 2001 graduate of Northview High School in Brazil.
Emily Hendricks of Astoria, N.Y., and formerly of Terre Haute, and Justin Turnier of Astoria will be united in marriage at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, during an outdoor ceremony at the Grotto at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Friends and relatives are invited.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Cathy and Merv Hendricks of Terre Haute. She is a 2000 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School and a 2004 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism. She is an associate editor for All You magazine in New York City.
Turnier is the son of Angela and Jeff Turnier of New York. He is a 1998 graduate of Bronx Science High School in Bronx, N.Y., and a 2003 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He is a financial systems consultant for Omnicom Group in New York.
Gail Addison Baker and Robert Miles Zwaska will be united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in St. Benedict Catholic Church in Terre Haute. A reception will follow in O’Shaughnessy Dining Hall at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
The bride-elect is the daughter of James and Mary Addison Baker of Terre Haute. She is a 1997 graduate of Terre Haute North Vigo High School, a 2001 graduate of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education, and a 2005 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington with a master of arts degree. She is a recreation supervisor and the preschool director for the Batavia, Ill., Park District.
Zwaska is the son of Cathy and Robert Zwaska of Milwaukee. He is a 1995 graduate of Marquette University High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of science degree in physics and mathematics. He received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2005. He is a physicist at Fermilab in Batavia.
