TERRE HAUTE — Mr. and Mrs. Kent Harris

Kent and Judy (Weyhrauch) Harris will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church of Terre Haute, 4701 E. Poplar Drive. Family and friends are invited.

The couple married on May 11, 1963, in the First Baptist Church at St. Bernice by the Rev. Arthur Bowser.

Reception hosts will be the couple’s children and their spouses, Candace and Jim Abell of Nampa, Idaho, Michele and Scott Tyring of Chesterton, and Kiki and Kent Harris of Taichung, Taiwan.

The couple requests that gifts be omitted but cards and letters are welcome.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pesavento

Robert and Susan (Stephens) Pesavento of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and formerly of Terre Haute and Clinton, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at their residence, and on June 22, 2013, at a black-tie affair in Marbella Country Club at San Juan Capistrano, Calif. They renewed their vows during the celebration.

The Pesaventos married June 22, 1963, at St. Benedict’s Church in Terre Haute. They have lived in Washington, D.C., Vicenza, Italy, Saratoga, Calif., and in Orange County, Calif., for 25 years.

The couple have two sons, Todd, wife Amy and their son of Las Vegas; and Trace, wife Carrie and their two sons of San Jose, Calif.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Powers

Don and Donna (Judson) Powers will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 13, 2013, in their home.

Family and friends are invited.

The couple married on July 13, 1963, at the Methodist Church in Marshall, Ill. Don owns Don Powers Trucking.

The Powers have four children, Marilyn (Jerry) Fagg, Kerry (Becky) Powers, and Donnie (Michelle) Powers of Terre Haute; and Dawn (Kirk) Shroyer of Shelburn. They also have 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
