Larry Hayne

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hayne of Terre Haute will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. on Aug. 31 with an open house at Breden Memorial United Methodist Church at 2228 S. The couple were married on Sept. 2, 1963, in Terre Haute, by the Rev. Brown at the Pilgrim Holiness Church.

Mr. Hayne is retired from the Terre Haute Fire Department after 32 years of service on the fire truck and ambulance. Mrs. Hayne, the former Thelma Pearce, worked at Meis Honey Creek Office. She quit after 10 years of service to raise her two grandsons.

They had two daughters, Lorie Anne Hayne New and Bobbie Jo Hayne Pierce. Lorie Ann passed away in 2010.

The couple have five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Future plans for the couple have been put on hold, because of serious illness.
