Community to celebrate Assisted Living Week

TERRE HAUTE — The Wyndmoor Retirement Community will be celebrating National Assisted Living Week Sept. 10-14. Mayor Duke Bennett will kick off the week on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with a proclamation. An open house also is planned from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday.

On Tuesday, the Wyndmoor celebrates The Art of Well-Being with Tai Chi for Senior Citizens at 1:30 p.m. and High Tea at 2:30 p.m. The Art of Entertainment is Wednesday’s theme with Roger Wycoff performing oldies karaoke at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday will be The Art of Cooking with a Recipe Swap Party at 1:30 p.m. and a Sugar Cooking Decorating Contest at 2:30 p.m. On Friday, The Art of Health will be celebrated with a fall prevention seminar and blood pressure clinic from 1 to 3 p.m.
