TERRE HAUTE — Walmart recently presented a $30,000 grant to Catholic Charities of Terre Haute.

The grant is slated to benefit the Bethany House Soup Kitchen to provide daily meals, fresh produce and emergency food baskets.

The grant will assist Bethany House in providing 45,000 meals each year and providing emergency food assistance to families when pantries are not typically open.

Bethany House provides meals to approximately 125 people each day and has not missed a day of serving meals since the soup kitchen opened in 1982.
