The Rockville Public Library will host an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 17.
Library staff will offer tours of the library, descriptions of resources and provide information about what the library has to offer. Patrons can learn about the library’s extensive genealogy and local history collection, including microfilm newspapers dating back to the 1850s.
Also available are public-use Internet computers and a magnifying reader for those with impaired vision; E-library, with access to ChiltonLibrary.com, World Book Online, Ancestry.com and others; books; magazines; newspapers; movies; videogames; and special events.
County residents newly eligible for full library services are encouraged to attend.
Light refreshments will be served.
